Yes, the visualizer can currently be used free of charge. It was developed as a quick and uncomplicated alternative to traditional photo montages.

The visualizations created may be used in particular for project planning, site assessment, internal coordination, presentations, and project communication. The results are based on the input and project data provided by the user. No guarantee is given for official approval or suitability for a specific legal purpose. The visualizations must be independently reviewed by experts before any binding use.
A subsequent alteration or use of the visualizations with the aim of misleadingly depicting the proportions, distances, or visual impact of wind turbines is prohibited.

The wind turbines are calculated based on the project data provided by the user and are perspectively integrated into the image. The following are taken into account, among others:

Rotor diameter

Terrain elevations and digital elevation model
further project-related input

With correct and complete input data, an accurately calculated and realistic photo montage is created.

In Google Street View, the calibration is performed automatically, so no manual assignment of reference points is required. This makes visualization particularly simple and error-free.

With own photos, however, a manual calibration is necessary on your part. For this, reference points or existing objects in the image must be correctly selected and assigned. The accuracy depends significantly on the accurate calibration.

For particularly easy and quick visualization, the VISUALIZER offers the possibility to access Google Street View images. The spatial positioning and relevant reference information are already available here. Manual calibration is therefore not required.

When uploading your own photos, the quality and accuracy of your input are more important. For precise calibration, for example, camera position, horizon, or existing wind turbines can be used as references. These reference points and objects must be correctly identified and associated with the image by the user.

Google Street View therefore enables particularly simple and reliable visualization, while own photos offer maximum flexibility for individual shooting situations. With carefully placed references, high-quality, realistic visualizations of wind turbines can also be created based on own shots.
